April 28-29 - Fort Allen Open House - Free Event.    Come on by on Saturday and check out the great blacksmith shop at Fort Allen, get to know the blacksmiths and bring friends!  Stop by anytime during the weekend (Saturday or Sunday) to enjoy the many events on the grounds!  Plowing, horses, mules, tractors, food and more!  Starting at 9:00!

May – ABA Spring Conference


May 19 - Brad Weber’s – 9:00, Always a great time! Come to see a FABULOUS shop and home! Pot Luck Lunch and bring an Auction Item, proceeds benefit PAABA and WRABA. Near Tappan Lake—Free event!

NEW! June 2 - Little Giant Workshop! Country Fab, Bob Picken’s – 9:00-12:00 plus Lunch, Good for those of you that have one, would like to buy one or have a similar hammer. $10.00 for cur-rent PAABA Members, $25.00 for non members, (will include a PAABA membership).

June 16 - Compass Inn Museum – 9:00, Hands-On Work Day! Join in on making items for the Compass Inn Museum Gift Shop. Lunch provided by PAABA and Chef Appleby!

June 27-30 - ABANA Conference, Richmond, VA  Check out This Conference Link for all the information, registration and more! There will be a number of PAABA members attending. It is a reasonable driving distance, make it this year because it will be quite a while before it is near home again! Main Office: 423-913-1022 Ask for JoAnn Bentley!


July 21 - Johnstown Road Trip – Make a summer vacation day happen for you! Join PAABA members on a trip to Johnstown to see Cambria Ironworks, the Johnstown Historic Museum exhibit on steel making, a ride on the world’s steepest incline and lunch overlooking the town.

Arrive at the Heritage Discovery Center at 10:00 AM, $9.00 Adults, $7.00 Seniors    MAP

Tour the Cambria Ironworks Blacksmith Shop and School, meet Patrick Quinn (106 Iron Street)

Drive to the Incline (Lower Address is 206 Johns Street, Johnstown 15901, the upper address is 711 Edgehill Drive, Johnstown 15905) $3.00 one way, $5.00 round trip, $8.00 vehicle and driver.

Asiago’s Restaurant for Lunch, Located near upper incline.

We will begin our tour at the Discovery Center with a Guide, at 10:00. We will visit the Cambria Ironworks with Patrick Quinn, see the shop and school, enjoy a “ride to the top” on the funicular (incline) and have lunch around 1:00/1:30. Bring a morning snack if you like, but save room for a great lunch at the top! Check their web-site.
